Other People

A  L  O   H  A !

No one wears a sign.
We interpret the
behavior of others.

We are pattern matchers.
Finding what we expect
interpreting behavior
so that it fits our view
of ourselves, of others
of the World.

But what if we made
the choice to see
the Truth and not
our favored version?

What if we made
allowances for others
just as we do for
ourselves every day?

They are human too.

Why do we leap
to the harshest
conclusions?

What if?

What if we felt
fellow feeling first?

What if we felt
compassion for the stressed,
not judgement and
a cheap superiority?

What if we
were strong enough
and loving enough to
forgive and assume allowances
for others as we
do without pause for
ourselves every day?

You do not choose
your neighbor.
But you can choose
your world.
This is the better way.
For yourself,
for all of us.
